General FAQs
IMO ePublications, the official source for IMO publications, is an innovative digital platform that enables users to purchase and access content published by the International Maritime Organization on desktop or mobile devices.
There are over 600 titles available in IMO ePublications, categorized into topics, collections, and book series.
Updated Code sheets are available at our IMO Publications webpage. Hard copy code sheets list titles available from authorized IMO Distributors.
Yes, many IMO publications are available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian.
Use simple or advanced search, browse topics and collections, or view featured titles on the home page.
Yes, but each title in your order must have the same quantity.
Register by clicking the login button, filling the form, and confirming your account through an email link.

Log in, find the title you need, and purchase individual publications or the All IMO Content subscription using a credit card.
Registered users can save searches, mark favorites, manage alerts, and access purchased titles.
Log in → My Profile → Content & orders → Access content → Select your purchased title.
No. Proforma invoices cannot be used for offline payment. All payments must be made on the platform using a credit card.
You can download copy receipts in the “My Orders” section by clicking on the relevant order number.
Yes, the annotation tool is available for full-text titles. Instructions are available here.
Offline content loads automatically when no internet is available. Saved titles appear via My Profile → Offline Content.
Refresh the page or log out and back in. Ensure you used the “save for offline viewing” option.
Clearing your cache removes all offline content. You will need to re-download titles.
Yes, offline content is only available during an active subscription period.
The option is only available on the main title page, not in chapter views.
Clear your browser cache and try again. Restart your device if necessary.
You may print up to ten pages per session, maximum fifty pages per title.
Manage subscriptions via My Profile → Content & orders.
Updates, supplements, and new publications are added throughout the year.
A certificate listing the IMO number and all purchased publications can be shown during inspections. Add the vessel’s IMO number to your profile to enable this feature.

FAQs – for Distributors
Log in to your distributor account, navigate to Subscription (under How-To-Buy), select “All IMO Content,” and proceed to checkout.
Navigate to any publication page and select “Individual Title” to add it to your cart. Complete checkout via the shopping cart icon.
Go to End Users via the cog wheel → search by email → Allocate Licenses tab.
Use “Add a new user,” complete the registration form, then assign licenses under the Allocatable Purchases section.
Yes. You can update authentication details through the End Users area.
Contact information can be updated under the Authentication tab in the End Users section.
No special technical requirements. Any device with an internet connection can access the platform.
Cache size depends on the user's browser storage capacity.
Yes. Customers can access the “Basic Documents Series” for free to explore platform features.
Yes. User guides are available from the main menu and additional materials will be added regularly.
